11 June, Johor Bahru - Johor Baharu Member of Parliament Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad Thursday described as inappropriate the move to built a third bridge to link Singapore and Malaysia.
He said the construction of the bridge to link Singapore to the eastern side of Johor at Pengerang was not desperately needed by either the people in the country or tourists from the republic.

17 Mac, Malacca - Former Puteri Umno chief YB Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said is unfazed by Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) investigations into allegations of money politics and will continue with her Umno election campaign.
Azalina, who is also Tourism Minister, reiterated that she had yet to be called up by MACC.

15 Mac, Petaling Jaya - Several UMNO leaders have lambasted Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo for alleging that Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was involved in a murder case.
Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said it was “nauseating” to see Gobind Singh, a lawyer, hide behind parliamentary immunity to accuse Najib of improprieties when the Altantuya Shaariibuu case was still pending in court.

12 March, Kuala Lumpur - Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO Malaysia Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said bersedia memberi keterangan kepada Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) bagi membantu siasatan kes rasuah melibatkan kementerian itu.
Beliau bagaimanapun mengesahkan setakat ini masih belum dipanggil oleh SPRM untuk membantu siasatan.

16 Feb, Kuala Lumpur - Tourism Minister YB Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said has described the opposition parties as inconsistent and lacked professionalism for harping on trivial issues such as the date for the Bukit Gantang parliamentary and Bukit Selambau state by-elections.
“This is the problem with the opposition parties… when the Election Commission (EC) announced that the by-elections will be held on April 7, they accused the EC of not being fair.

22 November, Kuala Lumpur - Those gunning for the Wanita Umno top posts should remember that members are their priority, said Umno Supreme Council member YB Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said.
“I think there is a conflict between what the top candidates want and what the members want.
“Members should be the top priority. When Datuk Seri Najib (Tun Razak) takes over, he needs strong leaders for the wings especially the Wanita wing,” she said yesterday.
